The staff were very helpful and could not do enough to make our stay any beter.
We loved everything especially Oscar the Irsih Wolfhound.
Went to castle to celebrate 40th Birthday booked a twin room. Had hoped for a room in the castle was given a room out in courtyeard wasnt disappointed though it had two double beds very warm and nicely decorated. Went for dinner in the castle on friday evening could only describe it as the best steak dinner i have ever had the restaurant was really busy that evening and we made a last mnute booking easy to tell why the food was fantastic and desert was devine. Dinner maybe a little more expensive than the average retaurant but for a special occasion well worth the money. The following morning brillant breakfast buffet great fry up with something for everyone. What a beautiful hotel in a fabulous setting so glad i booked it will defiently go back as some stage.
The Hotel and the grounds were beautiful and the rooms immaculate.
WEstayed in the Cottages which are a small walk from the main hotel . Very clean very spacious but not very soundproofed !!! could be a a real downside if you had to share with noisy or boisterous neighbours . Our neighbours seemed to be having a ball ....but I doubt they were aware how thin the walls are
Breakfast menu looked superb ....in reality it didnt live up to much and the fat that we had to queue for a good 15 mins was ridiculous
The grounds are absolutely beautiful as is the castle itself. Walking inside and outside the hotel was very enjoyable and eating dinner out on the "patio" was wonderful.
lovely location kingscourt is a great town people very freindly
rooms very poor expected more for a lovely castle
the castle was like a fairy tale and it was set in lovely surrondings
when we were booking in the receponist wasnt very helpful or nice.
Friendliness of the staff and the peaceful environs.
Guest at wedding everything was good except the Guinness in the function room was not good.
Perfect stay. Allwe were after. Comfort, elegence and value for money
The staff were very good, very pleasent and charming, very quick check in at reception.... Stayed in one of the cottage room, very nice, clean and comfortable. The castle is beautiful, and the grounds are lovely.... Breakfast was good, plenty choose from, hot or cold..... Will be back.
The door to or bedroom, was of poor quality, shoddy worknanship, top of door cut to suit re fitting looked terrible........ This door is not atall suitable where four to six other people are using the same house..... one push and that door was open... not that i tried but long enough staying in hotels to know what could happen.... get a different carpenter to check it out .......
A very relaxing location for short breaks with friendly efficient staff. Food was very good during our stay and our room was clean and comfortable. Bar service was friendly and good but drink prices were on the high side. The nine hole golf course is an attractive feature although it was water logged for part of our stay. Overall, a lovely location for a short break.
Leisure facilities and a swimming pool would give the hotel a huge lift. Live music in the bar at night especially at weekends is sadly lacking. A covered walk area from the Courtyard to the Castle would be very welcome.
The comfort of the room the design and look of the buildings are impressionable
There was no hairdryer available in the room, the bar food could cater better for vegetarians
Cabra Castle was superb. The staff were very friendly and polite. The food was amazing. On arrival, we were told we were in the courtyard part and i was initially disappointed... until I saw our room!!! Fantastic! It was huge, the bed was kingsize and comfortable and the bathroom was 4 times the size of mine at home :) Also, although it was November, it was lovely and warm - gorgeous place.
Lovely old world charm, very . friendly staff, the four poster bed was an unexpected treat. At a family wedding and the food was excellent.
Stayed in the courtyard on the ground floor, would recommend a bedroom upstairs as the floor boards squeak.
